The Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta (FUMMSA) calculates a candidate's admission aggregate score over 100% by combining the UTME score (50%) and O'level grades (50%)

(1)UTME Score Calculation (50 Marks).
Formula: UTME Score ÷ 8
Example:
Wale scored 280 in UTME.
280 ÷ 8 = 35 marks
Therefore, his UTME score contributes 35 marks

(2)O'Level Result Calculation (50 Marks).
FUMMSA evaluates the candidate's five core O'Level subjects, usually Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

O'Level Grading Scale:
A1 = 6 points
B2 = 5 points
B3 = 4 points
C4 = 3 points
C5 = 2 points
C6 = 1 point
Formula: (Total O'Level Points Earned ÷ 30) × 50

Example:
Wale has the following grades
Mathematics (C4) = 3 points
English (C4) = 3 points
Chemistry (C4) = 3 points
Physics (C4) = 3 points
Biology (C4) = 3 points
Total = 15 points
Therefore:
(15 ÷ 30) × 50 = 25 marks
His O'Level result contributes 25 marks.

(3)Total Aggregate Score.
Aggregate score = UTME mark + O'Level mark
= 35 + 25
= 60%
Therefore, Wale's aggregate score is 60%
