*Special Appeal*
Esteemed staff of the College,
The Federal Government has directed that there will be no admission into the 4-year degree programme for Colleges of Education in the 2026/2027 academic session.
In addition, our admission portal for the affiliate degree programme with UNIZIK has now been closed following the approval of our Dual Mode programme.
The good news is that candidates seeking admission into the 5-year Dual Mode programme, which culminates in the award of a degree certificate, will no longer be required to sit for the UTME conducted by JAMB. This simplified admission process provides us with a major advantage to attract more students.
Also candidates seeking admission into NCE programme require only 4 credits and will not write JAMB examination.
We, therefore, urge all staff to quickly spread this good news across communities, with special focus on prospective candidates seeking admission.
Our College currently offers 37 programmes under the Dual Mode platform.
Key highlights to share with candidates include:
* Graduates of the 5-year Dual Mode programme will be placed on Grade Level 8 in the Civil Service, compared to Level 7 for conventional university graduates.
* Candidates who have completed their NCE can now enrol for a 2-year Direct Entry programme, instead of the usual 3 years in universities.
* The College offers an existing scholarship scheme as well as access to the NELFund Students Loan at zero interest rate.
We appeal to every staff member to actively promote this message. Kindly share it in places of worship, marketplaces, community gatherings, and on social media platforms.
Our Provost, Dr. Virgy Nonye Ejezie, is working tirelessly to position FCET Umunze as a leading institution. Let us all support her efforts by ensuring we maximize student enrolment through this window of opportunity.
Thank you for your commitment and cooperation.
