WARNING ⚠️⚠️⚠️ ⚠️
❗❗❗❗❗❗❗

To: All Head Teachers of Public Public /Public Mission Primary Schools and ICT teachers

*23rd Nov, 2025*

*Strict Compliance with the Use of the Approved ASUBEB Result Portal*

The Board hereby directs all Head Teachers to strictly adhere to the use of the approved ASUBEB Result Portal for the uploading, processing, and printing of pupils’ results.

Head Teachers are reminded that no other portal, platform, or manually prepared result should be used henceforth.

This directive has become necessary for the following reasons:

*Uniformity of Results:*
Using a single approved portal ensures consistency in the format, grading system, and presentation of pupils’ results across all schools.

*Centralized Record Management:*
The portal enables ASUBEB to easily access pupils’ academic records for monitoring, result verification, planning, and future reference.

*Accurate Data Collection & Analysis:*
Our unified result system enhances proper analysis of pupils’ performance, helps us to identify learning gaps, and improves decision-making at the Board.

*Accountability and Transparency:*
The approved portal reduces manipulation, ensures traceability of all entries, and promotes transparency in result management.

*Support for Digital Transformation:*
This is in line with the State Government’s digitalization policy aimed at modernizing school operations and improving administrative efficiency.

All Head Teachers are expected to comply with this directive immediately.
Failure to adhere will be regarded as deliberate sabotage of the Board’s Digital Initiative, and may have to be suspended or dismissed from the service.

*INFORMATION FOR NEWLY EMPLOYED SUBEB CANDIDATES*

This is to inform all newly employed SUBEB candidates that the amount received today is not the actual full salary. The payment you received was calculated based on the date you completed your biometric capturing.

If your capturing was done on or before the 15th of November, you would have received a full month’s salary. However, those who captured after this date will receive their full salary next month.

Thank you for your understanding.
Take care.

*RECENT BANNING OF E-NOTES IN ALL THE 21 LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN ANAMBRA STATE*
Good day. I wish to respectfully express my concern regarding the recent directive banning the use of e-notes by teachers in Anambra State. While policies are meant to strengthen our education system, this particular decision raises serious issues that deserve objective and urgent reconsideration.

To begin with, Anambra State has already taken major steps toward digitalisation across all its schools in the 21 Local Government Areas. From Awka North to Awka South, Aguata, Anaocha, Anambra East, Anambra West, Ayamelum, Dunukofia, Ekwusigo, Idemili North, Idemili South, Ihiala, Njikoka, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Ogbaru, Onitsha North, Onitsha South, Orumba North, Orumba South, and Oyi—teachers across all these LGAs have embraced technology to meet modern educational standards.

Learners’ results are now uploaded online. Teachers take E-attendance daily. Many administrative processes are digital. With so much progress already made statewide, it is confusing and discouraging that the line is suddenly being drawn at e-notes. If we have accepted digital systems in record-keeping, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and communication, then banning e-notes contradicts the very progress the state has already invested in.

Secondly, e-notes have been previously approved and welcomed, and teachers adapted excellently. So, the question remains: why go back? Why discourage a system that has been working, improving productivity, and modernising teaching? Taking backward steps after achieving such progress leaves teachers unsure, demoralised, and confused.

Furthermore, e-notes remain one of the simplest and most effective digital tools that help teachers maintain clarity, organisation, and professionalism in their lesson preparation. They allow easy corrections, updates, storage, and long-term reference without the stress of rewriting pages by hand.

If the concern is that some teachers might use the same content across schools, then it must be stated clearly that handwritten notes are no different. Most handwritten notes circulating among teachers today are copied from typed materials that are snapped and uploaded to WhatsApp platforms for various classes. Removing e-notes will not prevent teachers from sharing notes—it only shifts the copying to handwritten format, which still comes from the same digital sources.

The real solution is not a ban but proper accountability.
If any teacher is found using the exact same content as another teacher without effort, originality, or personal compilation, then such a teacher should be queried individually. That is the fair and correct approach. Teachers should compile their notes themselves—typed or handwritten.

Additionally, many teachers invest significant personal effort, time, and resources into producing neat and professional e-notes. Discarding their work now feels unfair, discouraging, and disrespectful to their dedication.

It is also important to remember that teachers handle multiple subjects and weekly plans. Handwritten notes become bulky, stressful to manage, and time-consuming. E-notes reduce the workload, reduce errors, and improve the quality of planning.

Finally, e-notes should not be made compulsory—but they should also not be banned. Teachers should be allowed to choose the method that helps them work best. Those who prefer writing by hand should continue, and those who prefer e-notes should be allowed to keep using them. What truly matters is the quality of teaching and learning—not the format of the notes.

In conclusion, the ban on e-notes is a backward step at a time when the entire educational system in all 21 LGAs of Anambra State is moving forward digitally. E-notes were previously approved—why reverse such progress now? I respectfully appeal that this decision be reviewed in the interest of teachers, learners, and the continuous growth of education in Anambra State.
Please forward this message until it gets to the right authority.

*Clarification on Recent Changes in Subject Names*

Please note that the recent changes in pupils’ subject names are similar in content. For instance, Computer Science has now been renamed Digital Studies. Teachers should therefore enter the scores for *Digital Studies* under the *Computer Science* column for this term.

This applies to all other subjects with updated names.

If we change the subject names on the portal at this time, it may distort existing records and cause system inconsistencies. Therefore, the full implementation of the new subject names will commence next term.

Kindly proceed with uploading scores based on the current subject table. The portal will automatically accept the total number of subjects registered and the scores uploaded by the teacher, and it will assess the pupils appropriately based on it.

Thank you.

The Anambra State Government has announced that *all primary and junior secondary schools in Anambra* must not organize, or allow:

1. *Graduation ceremony*
2. *Money collected for graduation* - graduation levy
3. *Christmas party*
4. *Any other related activity* that goes against the government's rules or directives

*What does this mean?*
It means that without government approval, schools will not allow students to have graduation ceremonies, or collect money from parents for it, or hold Christmas parties.

This law is to reduce the extra money parents spend and to make sure schools follow government directives.

Signed by: *Anambra State Government*.

*Reasons why the Anambra Government banned it:*

1. *To reduce parents' expenses*
Many schools collect a lot of money from parents for "graduation gowns", "parties", "decoration", "photography" etc. The government saw that it is becoming too hard for many parents, especially those who cannot afford it.

2. *So children won't drop out of school early*
Sometimes when schools do big ceremonies at the end of Primary 6 and JSS 3, children think they have "finished school" for real. The government wants them to focus on continuing their education, not on ceremonies.

3. *To avoid business and pressure*
Some schools turned it into a business. They force parents to pay money. The government said education is a right, not a place to be selling things to people.

4. *To organize the education system*
The government wants school time to be used for teaching, not for preparing parties and ceremonies.

Usually only SS3 and university are allowed to have big graduations.

*In summary :*

The Anambra Government wants education to go back to what matters - learning, not ceremonies and collecting money.

If any school goes against this law, the government can punish them.

For attendance

I want to use this medium to inform you that a new attendance tracker has been provided for the teachers and non tutorial staff of ASUBEB. This is more serious than the pervious one. In this one, you'll clock in before 8am and clock out by your dismissal time. Face recognition is included in this one.

You as the ICT teacher, you need to be in school on Monday before 7am. Stand in the center of your school and get the coordinates of your school 3 times and save on the portal so the teachers and HMs will be able to clock in.

At the end of the month, the portal will summarize the attendance history of everybody and that is what will determine whether you worked for the whole hours or you came late, or you left the office before time.

I'll do a voice note on how you'll get your school coordinates. And I'll also drop the website.

For those who doesn't have a good android phone, someone else can help them but they must request for authorization from as the ICT teacher and you approve and then, your EMIS officer will approve before someone can use her phone to clock in for someone else.

Please, I am imploring you to take this seriously as I'll not want any issues with this. Inform your teachers and HMs of the importance of this.

The site is attendance.asubebportal.org.ng

You'll use the same log in details you use for your result upload to log into the admin section of the site to monitor your school while you EVERYBODY will use their werper numbers to clock in.

Only you as the ICT will long into the admin section so as to monitor your schools.

Every leave MUST be approved by the appropriate authority before anyone can absent from school else the person will be recorded as absent.

Open the site first and let me know if you have any questions
